If you enjoy music, please come to one of our rehearsals. We’ll give you a hearty welcome, and you’ll be thrilled with the rich, powerful sound of men’s voices blended in four-part harmony.

Don’t be concerned if you haven’t been singing much lately or think you might not be able to learn music “by heart.” We will teach you about good singing in a friendly, relaxed setting, and we’ll provide learning tracks to help you learn the songs. Our director, Drew Fuller, inspires our continuous improvement.  We meet twice a month (usually second and fourth Tuesdays) at the Mount Vernon Unitarian Church, 1909 Windmill Lane, Alexandria, VA 22307.

Our rehearsals are from 10am to 1pm with a coffee break in the middle. Most of that time we sing sitting down. We’re a day-time chorus, and we like to be comfortable.

One thing that makes the Harmony Heritage Singers distinctive is our busy schedule. In addition to our bi-monthly rehearsals, we present over 20 performances a year, most of them at retirement communities or seniors groups. Our audiences enjoy our performances as much as we do, so we provide a valuable public service.

If you decide you do want to sing with us, you can become a member. Our only requirements for membership are that you are a man of good character and that you like to sing. It’s an inexpensive hobby that is genuinely rewarding.

For more information on Membership, see Join Us or contact our VP for Membership, Ernie Doyle, at 240-508-7761 or dunks5@verizon.net. If you are not coming with a member your first visit, we would suggest you call Ron Brandt at 703-765-4779 to confirm that the rehearsal is on.

Note:  Women sing barbershop too, in local chapters just like ours. To learn more, including the location of women's chapters in our area, see Sweet Adelines International and Harmony, Incorporated.
